It can solve the nail pops problem efficiently that it cannot be fasted tightly for amount of time due to no thread on nail. Before drywall screws came into widespread use, drywall was nailed into place with short, wide-head nails because nail is used as a quick way to fasten wall board. Drywall screws is especially important with heavy or building tasks to avoid some certain issues for safety.
There are different thread types which are coarse and fine thread for the drywall screws. Coarse are generally used when fastened into wood studs and fine are for the metal studs.
