Tapping Screws are mostly different sharp pointed, no drill point. It usually need pilot hole slightly smaller than the screws diameter before fastening into the objects. Its threads will dig into the material keeping it secure. Tapping screws are used for all sorts of materials, including wood, metal, and brick. Tapping screw might have little slut on the thread to help cut the thread.
